Successful accountants and auditors have a deep understanding of the accounting entries, cost accounting, financial reporting and auditing. They possess an ability to acquire and collect financial information, to digest, analyze and communicate this information through financial statements, ability to check financial statements, to evaluate financial information and to make relevant decisions based on the analysis.
Graduates of the direction have an opportunity to be employed in financial sector (auditing and consulting companies, banking and insurance industry), both in private and public institutions.
Direction of Accounting and Audit cooperates with local and international professional bodies of the field: Georgian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors (GFPAA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The collaboration enables the faculty to offer opportunities to students to be exempted from certification exams provided by the associations above.
